Colombian
refugees find safety across the border in Ecuador

CHICAL, Ecuador The population of Chical, a remote
community in northern Ecuador, has doubled in less than a fortnight
after the arrival of some 400 Colombians from across the border.

The recruitment of child soldiers continues in Democratic Republic
of Congo, despite the government's efforts to integrate former militia
into the army, reports IRIN.
Chad:
New arrivals of refugees from the Central African Republic in the
south

A fresh wave of refugees from the Central African Republic (CAR)
has crossed over the border into southern Chad in the last month
fleeing a string of attacks on villages in northern part of the
country. In January, some 400 refugees arrived in the border village
of Bekoninga, 30 km south of Goré the main town in
south Chad.
Emergency
Aid to Lebanon

In
the past few weeks, Jordan River Foundation (JRF), RESCATE's partner
in Jordan, has delivered 400 tonnes of humanitarian aid to Lebanon
for distribution among families affected by the recent conflict.
From Spain, RESCATE contributed the donations received during an
emergency campaign launched on the 20th of July.

Tamin
Ansar is the final school to be reconstructed under an educational
regeneration project managed by RESCATE in conjunction with its
implementing partner, People In Need (PIN), in the district of Chohi
in northern Afghanistan.

Mujeres
en Red: "It works for us because we share experiences."
According
to the participants of the project "Mujeres en Red" (Women's
Network), launched by RESCATE in November, this is the most beneficial
aspect of the initiative. December 2006.

visits the Gimnazija rehabilitation site in Mostar. (Bosnia

Queen
Rania of Jordan Inaugurates the Ajloun Visitors Center and Handicraft
Workshops. The
inauguration marks the completion by RESCATE of a project to promote
ecotourism in the area (Ajloun, Jordan, 28 September 2004).
The
Spanish Secretary of State for International Cooperation, Leire
Pajín, visits the Mostar Gymnasium, where RESCATE collaborates
with SFOR in rehabilitation activities funded by the Spanish government.
